Opportunity: Feature On The Tang Podcast

Podcast- “an audio file similar to a radio broadcast, which can be downloaded and listened to on a computer, mobile phone, or mp3 player”

Why, might you ask is Arts Blurb defining a Podcast? Well in the latest in our series of opportunities for musicians, we have uncovered The Tang Podcast, set up in 2011 by DJ, Producer, and Podcaster Andy Tang. He described the previous editions of the Podcast as a showcase of new/up-coming artists that between them represent electronica, disco, post-dubstep, singer-songwriter, and folk music. Artists that have been interviewed or had their music played on the Podcast include Bobby Tank, an artist rated by renowned DJ Zane Lowe, Mikill Pane who has worked with Ed Sheeran, The Kings Will, and a French house/disco producer called Douze. There have been exclusives, international acts, and local artists featured before, but as for the future, that could be up to you!

Andy Tang welcomes submissions from Chelmsford, Mid Essex and beyond, for future editions of the Podcast, so if you want your music to be heard by a growing internet audience, this could be the opportunity for you. Why not pop along to the Tang Podcast Soundcloud site and have a listen to previous editions to find out what it’s all about.

If you’ve got music you’d like to submit you can use the Soundcloud dropbox or e-mail an MP3 and act details to tangmusic@gmail.com. Podcasts are a great way of showcasing your music to a new audience, or discovering new artists, so why not join in the fun!?! http://soundcloud.com/tangmusic
